About the Cattery
Your Cat’s Comfort is Our Priority.
At our purpose-built cattery, every detail is designed with your cat’s wellbeing in mind. We offer safe, spacious, and comfortable accommodation, delicious meals tailored to your pet’s tastes, and plenty of love and attention – all in a calm, clean environment where they can relax and feel at home.
ACCOMODATION
Our cats are housed in spacious individual units, each with a window and its own secure, block-paved outdoor play area. For families with two or more cats, double-sized units with shared outdoor spaces are available. With the rise in temperature in recent years, during periods of hot weather cats will have fans and cool mats to sit on. In colder months, the cattery is fully heated at no extra charge, ensuring your cat stays cosy and content all year round.
BEDS
We provide comfortable sleeping baskets and designer duvets for every guest. To help your cat settle in quickly, we encourage owners to bring along a small rug or blanket with a familiar scent from home. Long-haired cats are given daily grooming at no additional cost.
Food
We cater to each cat providing only the best quality food prepared in hygienic conditions. Our standard menu includes Royal Canine Pro Fit. We stick to regular feeding times – adult cats are normally fed twice a day, while kittens and senior cats are fed according to their needs. If you prefer to bring your cat’s own food, that is absolutely fine.
Travelling Baskets
Most cats find travel a little stressful, so we recommend using a secure, well-ventilated basket or carrier whenever your cat leaves home. This ensures their comfort and safety on the journey to and from the cattery.

Terms Of Business
We want every stay at Château du Chat to run smoothly for both pets and owners, so here are a few important points to note: A full day’s board is charged for both the day of arrival and the day of departure. This allows us to thoroughly disinfect and prepare each suite so it’s fresh and ready for our next guest. Boarding fees are payable at the time of collection, or monthly for long-term boarders. We accept payment by cash or cheque, as we do not have card facilities. While we take every possible precaution to keep your pet safe, happy, and healthy, we cannot accept liability for loss, injury, escape, or illness during their stay, whether arising from breach of contract, negligence, or otherwise. During peak periods, if you collect your pet before the end of their booked stay, the full booking period will still be charged.
Health Requirements
For the safety and wellbeing of all our guests, we can only accept cats that are in good health. No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious condition can be admitted. All cats are given a quick health check on arrival, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to any cat showing signs of illness, pending advice from a veterinary surgeon. If veterinary care is required during your cat’s stay, this will be arranged promptly. We can also continue any prescribed treatments, including administering injections, as advised by your vet. All cats must be fully vaccinated against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Upper Respiratory Infections (Cat Flu). An up-to-date vaccination certificate must be presented on arrival. All animals must be flea and tick treated before coming into us, if an animal is found with fleas they will be treated and the owner will be charged accordingly.
