Due to many requests from our cat clients asking us to board dogs, we have now built 6 very large luxury purpose built kennels, which are completely tiled, heated and have access to outside blocked paved, fully fenced runs for exercise in the wet weather. 

As the property is set in 2.5 acres of securely fenced parkland the dogs are taken out individually for a run twice a day which together with their daily walk in our 26 acres of meadow, lake and woods ensures that they are well exercised, not bored, and have one to one contact with us, this also helps the dogs to get to know us better by going out and doing different things with us every day. Free treats and biscuits are given after exercise every day.

As a family we have over 40 years experience in showing, handling, judging, and breeding of Championship Show winning Afghan Hounds both in the UK and Europe. This lifelong knowledge is put to very good use in  ensuring that every dog in our care is very well looked after and enjoys their stay with us. 

Our charges include; 

Food, Royal Canin, biscuits and treats. 

Any necessary medical treatment can be given.

Beds, bedding and bowls are provided.

The kennels are heated in cold weather..

Music is played daily 

14 euros per day.  

Discounts given for 2 or more dogs from the same family sharing a room.

A full days board is charged for the day of arrival and departure to allow for essential disinfecting and preparation of the suite. Payment of boarding fees will be made at the time of collection or, in the case of long term boarders, the accounts will be paid monthly. Payment is by cash or cheque as we do not have facilities to accept credit cards. Whilst all reasonable care is taken, Chateau du Chien accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising out of the escape, death or contraction of infectious diseases or conditions to dogs whilst under our care, whether such escape, death , injury or contraction of infectious disease or conditions arises as a result of breach of contract, negligence or otherwise.
